Hobby: Reading and second hand shopping
Favorite Book: Jane Eyre

People would be surprised to know that: "I am a cancer survivor."

A love of history and political science drew me to a career teaching social studies. As I started my studies, I was introduced to the field of educational psychology and fell in love with the study of learning and instruction. I have been a part of education as a teacher, school psychologist, college professor and academic dean for over thirty years.

The School of Education and Social Science has dynamic programs in early childhood, special education, middle level and secondary education, and integrated social sciences and psychology degrees. In addition, we offer several master's degree programs including Instructional Leadership, Business Education, and Special Education along with a Ph.D program in Instructional Management and Leadership.

Student organizations, field placements, practicums, study abroad experiences, and faculty led study tours in the United States are deeply woven into our programs of study. We want your RMU experience to be fulfilling and professionally rewarding and I, as well as the faculty and staff of our school, commit to doing whatever it takes to help you succeed.
