People would be surprised to know the number of hats I have worn for various positions I have held over the past years.
I started my teaching career when I had just turned twenty. I filled a vacancy in the Moon Area School District and retired from my position thirty years later. Then, I left to take a position at Robert Morris University, realizing that my love of teaching and working with students was not ending but just beginning. As acting dean of the SESS, I want to extend a welcome to all of our education and social science majors.
The School of Education and Social Science has dynamic programs in early childhood, special education, middle level and secondary education, and integrated social sciences and psychology degrees. In addition, we offer several master's degree programs including Instructional Leadership, Business Education, and Special Education along with a Ph.D program in Instructional Management and Leadership.
Student organizations, field placements, practicums, study abroad experiences, and faculty-led study tours in the United States are deeply woven into our programs of study. We want your RMU experience to be fulfilling and professionally rewarding and I, as well as the faculty and staff of our school, commit to doing whatever it takes to help you succeed.
