Study Abroad

Study abroad can be a big part of extending your horizons and your education, and it is important especially for students in the social sciences majors to think about.  It is easier for these majors to study abroad, because of the flexibility of the coursework.

The Center for Global Engagement helps students plan for study abroad; make sure to contact them if you have any interest in going abroad.  There are faculty-led programs that travel in the summer for two weeks, including the Serbia Service-Learning trip.

RMU has a number of global partners, including the Council on International Education Exchange (CIEE) the country’s oldest and largest nonprofit study abroad and intercultural exchange organization, which provides many options for RMU students to do a semester abroad.  Click here to search for a program you might be interested in.  IMPORTANT: There are scholarships available for RMU students to do a semester abroad through CIEE!  Please contact Jesse Phillips in the Center for Global Engagement at or 412-397-6493.
